Stockholm and Miami, December 19, 2006 Ingate Systems, which develops firewall technology and products that enable SIP-based live communication for the enterprise while maintaining control and security at the network edge, has been named a Top 50 Technology Innovator of 2006 by IT Week magazine.

Awards are given to companies whose products IT Week's editors feel demonstrate superior quality and excellence in their respective fields. The list is compiled by the editors from reader feedback and independent research.

Ken Durham, editor of IT Week magazine, noted, "These products went above and beyond the call of duty. We at IT Week are happy for the opportunity to be able to recognize these products for their technology, value and excellence."

Ingate Firewalls and award-winning Ingate SIParators enable enterprise live communication based on Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). They solve the Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal issues with SIP communications, and can even handle far-end NAT traversal to extend a company�s SIP capabilities to remote workers. Incorporated into all Ingate hardware is the company's unique SIP proxy, which delivers maximum control over SIP signaling, traffic and security.

Ingate also offers a wide array of software modules that help businesses do business, better.
